About VariFlight MCP
VariFlight MCP connects compatible AI assistants to aviation and travel tools through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Use the tool documentation to check parameters and access requirements before making a query.
What can I do with VariFlight MCP?
Query flight status, explore airport and airline information, work with authorized personal trips, and use fare or travel-planning tools. Coverage and availability differ by tool and account; the documentation lists the available operations.
How do I connect an AI assistant?
Sign in, obtain an MCP Key in the console, and follow the guide for your platform. The standard endpoint is https://c-gw.variflight.com/chat_message/mcp/api. WorkBuddy uses the compatibility endpoint ending in /api/legacy. Use the configuration format shown for your client.
Are the showcase results live?
No. Showcase pages use stored sample data. Reports preserve their original statistical periods, and the flight-planning example uses a September 24, 2026 price snapshot. Connect MCP and run a new query for current information; verify the date, source, coverage, and units of each result.
Does an English interface change data coverage?
No. English changes the website’s display language. Data coverage, supported parameters, account permissions, and client capabilities still determine which queries are available. Check the tool documentation for the relevant operation.
Can I recreate an example in my own AI platform?
Yes. Open an example, copy its prompt or download the provided HTML package, and adapt the requirements. Original downloads and prompts retain their source language. Review generated results and query fresh data when the task requires it.
